How can I grow spices? I don't get enough sunlight...
Elaine Balmes Farr on Jun 18, 2017It depends what type of spices you want to grow. You can grow herbs easier I think- I have basil, thyme, mint that grow well in a window inside, then you can move them outdoors in the summer if you have a balcony, A basic planting mix from a garden center is best.Helpful Reply
Tamara A Cope on Jun 18, 2017I just started growing herbs from seeds and it has been fairly easy so far. I started in a little plastic seed cell container. It has a lid makes a little green house. They don't require sun until they start sprouting. Just keep them moist in a fairly warm environment. Do you have a little deck to put them out on? I put mine on my my back patio and place them in sunlight for a few hours everyday. If you can find one window in your house that gets sunlight they can grow fairly well indoors. Too much intense sunlight or heavy rain can kill them before you get started. I hope this helps. Have funHelpful Reply
