Can anyone tell me what kind of fruit tree this is? It has thorns on it. It was one of 5 dwarf trees that we got a few years ago through the mail. We have two producing peach trees and 2 apple trees then this one we can't figure out what it is, thanks

Could they have sent you a pomegranate?

I would say it is probably a some type of Prunus/Plum, possibly Dwarf Methley Plum since some people report having spines on them. Otherwise, it could have been a Hybrid plum grafted on Prunus americana or other wild Plum rootstock and the rootstock is sending up suckers.
