Why are my lavender herbs dying?

I purchased 2 lavender plants from a garden centre, planted them in a container that is in the kitchen window. They seemed to be doing well than a week later they started to wilt up and look like their on their way out. I have been keeping the soil moist.

Chances are they are too wet and not getting enough sun. Try placing them outside during the day for more sun. -

you might be watering too much. Lavender likes to dry out completely between waterings. they also like full sun and good draining soil, you can add sand to the soil. -

Sally I believe your roots are being waterlogged you might need to replant and put pebbles in bottom of container for extra drainage -

Re-pot them in fresh soil.Allow to dry between waterings and keep in full sun -
