Can I use Topsy Turvy with Aquaponic or Hydroponic gardens?

To add to your greenhouse garden is it possible to use Topsy Turvy with Aquaponic or Hydroponic gardens?

I don't see that working out real well, wouldn't all of the water run right out?You could still hang them up in the greenhouse, but use potting soil instead -
