Rhubarb- Is it Ok to leave them in a pot outside for the winter?
I live in Zone 5, a suburb of Chicago. My friend who is relocating, she dug up her Rhubarb roots and gave them to me. Is it Ok to leave them in a pot outside for the winter ?. if not what should I do to have them come up in Spring ?. Thanks

If they are in a pot the roots will freeze and the plant will turn to mush. You need to protect it from the bitter cold. Put them in your garage for the winter and they have a really good chance of surviving until you can plant them next spring. -
