Why is my st. augustine grass turning yellow?
I live in Texas on a lake. We water with lake water and we water often. Most of my back yard is turning yellow and dying. I have had this grass for a long time. It is part shade part sun.

Could you be watering it too much?We have St Augustine, and never have to water it, but we live in Alabama. Something in the lake water, run off from somewhere? Not much help, sorry -

Do you have chinch bugs? Or a fungus? Either one will make the grass look dry even though it is getting water.
