Handmade Envelopes for a Personal Touch

The art of handwritten letters is just about completely extinct. But, occasionally something needs to be mailed via "snail mail". If you love making your own cards...or even writing a letter by hand...this is a really special way to send it. And...there is a template on the site to download. These envelopes can be elegant, whimsical, or whatever mood you are today. How would you feel about receiving a special handmade letter? Let's bring back the art of letter writing!
These are really easy to make..and don't have to cost a penny. How many times can you say that about something so personal?
This envelope was crafted from a paint ad. What an awesome way to use up those old magazines
This envelope was made from some scrapbook paper. How pretty would this be with a handmade Christmas card stuffed in it?
Head on over to download this template that can be printed any size you need
Just place you template to make the pictures and graphics land where you want on the envelope
I make sure that the writing lands on the back...but I even like seeing the print...I think it adds to the finished envelope.
Stuff your envelope with something special...place a label on it..and get it sent off to someone special.

Your blog on handmade envelopes from magazines is great, however I can't find the download for the template. Can you help me out?

Where is your template for making envelopes?

My college roommate and I used to make envelopes from magazines. I had forgotten about that and I'm so glad you shared this! For anyone needing a template, grab an envelope from your stationery and open up the seams to flatten. If you want to make a lot, then use spray adhesive to attach it to cardboard. It'll be more durable. 🙂

This is such a great, smart recycling project and depending on the envelope size, there are many uses other than mail for these cool envelopes: organizing important documents, corralling project pieces, gift cards, confetti ... lots of fun uses.

Thank you for sharing AND inspiring!

PS: And thank you for the envelope template ~ I "screenshot" it and was able to resize it for my uses.
