Coastal Style Casual Desk Makeover

I recently found this cute desk on Craigslist and couldn't wait to give it a new look! I LOVE all things beachy/coastal so it was easy for me to know what I wanted to do with it!
Here are some before pictures! The desk was in great shape, but lacked color, character and detail!
So, I decided to give it a fresh new look by using a fresh white on the outside and Sea glass green on the inside! The paint I used was Dixie Belle chalk paint!
I painted the knobs and pulls on the drawers in a soft beachy blue, then added a new knob on the desk top!
I found the knobs in a pack of four in Marshall's for only $4.99!
I love how it turned out! So very fresh and fun!
Here you can see that I used a stencil on the edge to give more detail!
I found the cutest coral and starfish stencil by Martha Stewart and added it on top! Found @ A.C Moores.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope I have inspired you! Have a great day!
I finally decided to put the definition of Beach on the desk! I though t it appropriate! I printed a picture out, then rubbed the back of it with charcoal, then traced it onto the desk, then took a bronze marker and basically colored it in! I love how it turned out!
Have a great week!

Thanks for being so clever. You just solved a problem for me with the charcoal stencil/tracing idea.... I also love all things beach.
