Hi Hometalk! I recently gave this black and sad console a new look with just a few easy steps. This project will show that sometimes all a makeover needs is a few fixes, and the piece will be elevated completely!
Here’s the before shot of the heavily distressed console. I took it home and got to work giving it a fresh new look.
Here are the Zibra and artist brushes used.
TIP: I started from the top of the piece and moved down as I went with the paint. This helps to to avoid drips.
I then went in with gold gilt to bring out the details. Try and get into the nooks and crannies with an artist brush. Apply the gold to all of the raised details.
Here is the final piece! No dreary blues here.
