Repurposed Buffet Into a Coffee Bar

whoa! what an amazing transformation on this vintage buffet. You won't believe the before!
isn't she pretty? she didn't start out this way!
THIS is the before! This old gal has been abused for sure. I found her in a neighbor's smelly, dark, damp storage building. ewww--she was so smelly, full of mildew and mold.
After several rounds of deep cleaning, she's looking better and not smelly anymore!
I stripped the top, and all the doors and drawers. Refinishing is not my favorite thing to do, it takes so long. But I knew this little lady would look best in a coordinating outfit, instead of being all one color.
I painted this buffet using Rainy Day chalk type paint, with my Homeright Finish Max, using the Spray Shelter.
I highly recommend cleaning and painting the underneath side of your projects.
wow! what an improvement! Notice that I elevate my project so that it's easier to get a great finish around the bottom. Speaking of great finishes, nothing sprays a fine finish like the Finish Max! I use it for 99% of all of my projects.
Can you believe it's the same piece? I worked really hard on this coffee bar, and I think it shows.
Enjoyed the project?
