Turned an old Rummage sale $3 world globe into 2 cool overhead hanging lights!
have to split the globe open. Mine was plastic so it was a little tricky to split. It wasn't on a stand or anything, I purchased it stand alone.
The 2nd 1/2 of the globe I placed the lamp kit fixture on top and drew a circle to get the perfect width. Then using my dremmel proceeded to make my way around my guide to cut the hole. It was hard on the plastic, but I'm sure on a different material globe would be easier to do.

I had a cheap dremmel, but if you had a better one wouldn't be that hard
