I actually like the look. I'm no designer but would it be more suitable for a modern kitchen rather than a traditional one?

Well it definitely fits for a modern look...if you get it in mirror-polished, it looks very similar to stainless. However, I've seen some more contemporary kitchens where they combine a zinc top with some type of butcher block.

Can you cut on this counter top? Will it show knife marks if cutting veggies ect?i know it won’t on granite but granite is expensive.
