How can I make a light color laminate butcher block counter dark?




I realize I will have to cover my counter with wood and then stain it. my question is where can I find wood that's thin enough to put on the counter with out removing the counter.I hope you understand what I'm trying to say.Thank you in advance,Debbie Hunter

A lumberyard. Better quality, selection and grades than any home improvement center.
That really won't work, it will warp and cup. If can't replace, paint it. The are kits for that sold at Home Depot. Step by step instructions are in the kit. That's a better solution
