Light pastels and white colors. Let the sunshine in through your windows. Lots of open space vs clutter or clustered furniture or décor. I hope some of these suggestions spark your imagination! -

Light colored walls...repaint cabinets white of they are a dark color, declutter countertops and walls. If you have a window, consider using no curtain at all or a very sheer drape so light shines in as much as possible. Put bright lighting in all fixtures. -

Instead of peices of furniture, try floating shelves- they take up less space and give the room a more open feel, best of luck! -

Thpically, light colors lend to a more spacious feel, so paint walls accordingly. De-clutter surfaces. Open shelving might help, and if you have windows use sleekcoverings thatallow natural light.
