Would like to redo my pantry which is a narrow long space.

Long as in wide.... or long as in deep ?

I stapled no skid rubber mat on shelves (can by rolls at dollar store) Makes it look neat & clean and adds colour without having to paint or dealing with it chipping or scuffing

I have the same kind of pantry. I bought roll out drawers for mine. It made everything easy to organize and made the best use of my space. These are what I used.

My mom had a full height pantry cupboard that was 24 inches deep and about 30 inches wide... it fit at the back end of her kitchen (a teeny one) opposite the refrigerator. We had pullout shelf/drawers (4 inches deep) made to go in that space ... they were spaced apart so a box of cereal etc would fit there... even the upper shelves were fitted with the pull outs... so the stuff in the back of the cabinet "came out" so you could see what was there.... pull out drawers/shelves were also installed in all of her lower cabinets even under the sink.... The changes were make so she did not have to crawl into the cupboards to get to things.... and the pull outs on the pantry cupboard brought things out so she could get to them easily from a step stool..(she was 5 ft. )
