Could you move the storage cabinet out and put up shelving on the walls? If it's an older cabinet that you may not want anymore maybe use the lumber from it for the shelves. Is it possible to completely eliminate the removable panel? I mean, if it‘s serves no purpose other than aesthetics, is it really needed?One way to add storage space would be to add pedestals with drawers under the washer and dryer.
