Adding Color to the Kitchen Window

This project brought an array of color to what had been a rather plain kitchen window.
The kitchen window as it looked before making the curtains that brought color into the room
Purchased six different color polyester curtains from Amazon for $17.00. They were 84" long. We didn't need that much, and will be able to make more curtains then just these with the amount of material we got. Made sure all 6 colors measured the same length for our project on the kitchen windows
Placed them on the window and measured how long to make the final cut
Hemmed up all the panals
For more fun, I added strings of beads throughout the panels
When the curtains are closed it is a rainbow of color
When they are opened they still add color to the kitchen. The tie backs were also done with beads. The total project with the beads ran about $35.00, but we have a lot of material left over for additional projects.

If you purchased 6 different panels of curtains at 17.00 each, how can the total for the project end up being $35.00 or about. Strange math! Love the color.
