Adding Doors to a Bookcase
I"ve been searching for a piece to add some long windows to for over 2 years now. I know I could have built one, but finding it is better, especially if the price is right.
I ran across this bookcase at a garage sale last week. Thankfully after I went home to measure my windows and made it back it was still available. Yay!
Here is one of the windows I was speaking of. Very dirty but super cool.
Life would be too easy if everything fit together perfectly. I had to make some adjustments. The windoes were slightly too long and not quite wide enough.
I trimmed some off the bottoms and added a piece int the middle. All that was left to do was add hinges.
It's amazing how much a piece can change by just adding something to it.
