JT Studios: Have You Used Frog Tape Shape Tape?

After stenciling and painting a small table top by hand, I found out that Frog Tape makes Shape Tape. They offer chevron and wavy designs. I promise you this was a much faster piece to paint even though it was bigger than the last table. I sanded the top due to the fact I wanted the natural wood to shine.
Sanded and prepped.
I did sand the top but not the legs. With chalk paint there really is no need to prep.
After being painted with chevron tape.
I applied the tape. Even though it's pretty easy to lay tape you must read the directions unlike me. Wherever you lay the tape it must be smooth. It will not stick to texture....believe I know. I applied two coats to make sure it was covered. After the second coat I removed the tape straight up away from the table.
The final product!
Give your chalk paint enough time to dry. I applied the clear coat all over the piece and the green paint make the natural wood have a green tint. I doesn't look bad but on my next piece I will wait longer. If you would like to see other pieces I have done please check out my website and blog.
