DIY Chippy Rustic Accent/entry Table

This was one of my easiest builds to date, but most importantly it was also fun and I learned a lot.
let’s get to the grind of the 1 by 1 steps. I’ll keep it as simple as possible.
I used:
1 piece of 1x2 cut to 68in (back of the the table
1 piece cut to 12in
1 piece of 1x3 cut to 68in (front of the table)
I purchased the legs pre-made at Home Depot at $9 each. They have many designs and styles, including some classic straight cut ones.
I made frame/boxes inside of the legs to make it more sturdy, I didn’t regret this step when my son tried to climb on it to touch shiny things. This was made using scraps, screws and brad nails.
Then I made the bottom shelf 3 using planks of 1x4 pine - which equaled mine 12 inches on the box frame exactly.
I glued the sides and clamped them, using pocket holes to screw them together.
This is the assembled product - the space would not fit a longer table with 6 legs. But I was happy with how perfect it fit there.
The top is one single plank of common pine 1x14 which I cut to size.
*** if I could change one think about this, I would have purchased the feet that matched the legs, instead of the chunky ones.. but smart me, screwed and glued the feet and they cannot be removed 😂
Now onto staining...
As you can see that’s the ugliest color stain possible on this table, so I proceeded to try to make it prettier
Yes.. it was ugly
So I painted it over, with white, then blue, then grays, then browns, then another full coat of white (go over to IG and watch my highlights, this was a week long process)..

Often times I sanded between coats of paint to see come colors through.. then I waxed it with rustic aging wax and sanded one last time.
It was turning our sooo pretty
The hours and hours of painting were worth it.
Im so in love.
It’s not ready to be fully decorated for every holiday.

Wish you hadn't mentioned the chunky feet. I can't unsee them now.
But this is a great table and I happen to have four extra table legs, so I'm going to try this project!
Thanks.

Love this table! Personally I think it looks better than the commercial one from world market @ $300+!! Where did you find that awesome lamp you decorated the table with?
I love the table but I do not want to paint it five times to get this effect?
What's wrong with the "chunky feet"? I like the way it looks. Good job!!
