Don’t be afraid of a bit of color! Stephanie from The Silly Pearl chose Luscious Lime, Simplicity, and Tough Coat for this mid-century masterpiece.
It was time to give my husband’s bachelor pad coffee table a makeover! I brightened it up with some vibrant green paint and added a simple mid-century-inspired stencil.
Here’s what the coffee table looked like before. It not only lived through my husband’s bachelor days, but also the first few stages of my girls’ lives. If you look closely, you’ll see lots of Dora the Explorer stickers as well as pen scribbles all over the surface, which is why the table needed a good sanding.
I first painted the whole table with Country Chic Paint All-In-One Decor Paint in Luscious Lime, flipping the table over so I could paint the legs and sides easily.
I painted three coats. Looks cute already!
I created a leaf stencil using vinyl, which I adhered it to the middle of the table.
I painted in the stencil with Country Chic Paint All-In-One Decor Paint in Simplicity.
Then I rotated the stencil and added two more sets of leaves on either side, so the leaves are facing alternate directions. After a coat of Country Chic Paint Tough Coat, my Mid-Century Inspired Stenciled Coffee Table was complete!
It’s providing such a happy bit of color in our living room. The green is unusual and works through every season. I love that we can still use this coffee table after all these years!
