How can I keep my brown sugar inside the canister from hardening up?

A slice of bread. I store mine in the same bag I bought it in inside a plastic canister and never have a problem with hard brown sugarHelpful Reply -

Like Annetta, I've always used a slice of bread. I have mine in a Tupperware container. I just put the bread on top. Works perfectly. It also works to soften cookies that contain brown sugar if they get a bit hard.Helpful Reply -

Like Annetta and Linda I also use a slice of bread. If it does get hard a few seconds in the microwave and it softens up.Helpful Reply -
