What's the best way to keep your kitchen bag from falling in the can?

Put the garbage bag in the garbage container and let some of the bag fall over the top. Now take a bungie cord and put it around the garbage container so the top of the liner is under the bungie cord.Helpful Reply -

I love this question. I learned this while working at a hospital and observing how the experts do it. :) First tie a small knot in one side of the top of the bag. If your bag is only a little loose, the may be enough. If it is still loose tie another know on the other side. I usually tie both sides so my bag will be even, since I'm a bit perfectionistic.Helpful Reply -

My mom did this years ago, and I still swear by it. She used those giant rubber bands around the outside lip. The friction kept the bag from sliding down. If you can't find them, then I'd try measuring the can and using a bungee that will need to stretch a bit to clip together.Helpful Reply -

I use pull tie bags which slows you to tighten them around the rim. I also have a trash can that is the perfect size for the 18 gallon compactor bags. They are larger and they fit on the edge of the can perfectly.Helpful Reply -
