Canning Cupboard

I wanted a place to store my homemade jams, jellies, chutneys and other canned items. Living in a small cottage, space is all important, we are Eco minded and like to re use whatever we can. I gave my husband some ideas for a storage cupboard and left it to him to accomplish my ideas.
We had a couple of doors we purchased from the Restore for $1 each, they were a good size for the space we had in mind and were already painted white and in good shape.

Pete, my amazing husband, who turns my crazy ideas into reality, made a frame from some wood he already had around. He ripped it to size with his table saw and attached the doors we had purchased with 4 hinges we had also purchased from the restore. He installed some shelves from wood he already had in his stash, he collects wood and nails like I collect crafting and repurposing things.

Some of my canning already in place
We already had a couple of door handles from a previous project. I had a couple of mini canvasses I painted silver and found a couple of little chalk hangers in the shape of canning jars, which I glued to the mini canvasses.

I wrote ' Just Jammin' on one and ' Can It' on the other and attached them to the doors. Then I was ready to start canning and filling the shelves. How much fun is that.
