Hiya friends!
Time to make a firewood holder! I hunted around the house (and garage) and found a wood crate that was be the perfect size. However, it was in need of serious zesting! Here we go!
Enter the ruler and painter’s tape:
I decided to do a striped pattern but feel free to get crafty!
Put blue tape over the lines...
I chose white paint, but any color would be cute!
Loving the geographic design!
I feel like it's still missing something tho! So I resorted to an old wood staining technique... It needed something more to make it over-the-top adorable for my hearth. The solution was very simple.
With steel wool and distilled white vinegar, I was able to “wash” my entire crate for a fantastic finish!
What do you think?? This is an easy substitution for wood stain! But feel free to use wood stain if you have it!
I love how it turned out!
Ahhh it is just perfect for my home...
Ooooooh, Im chilly!
Ill take a glass of wine by the fire pleeeeeassssse!!!
xoxo,
Chanda
