DIY Upcycled Storage Box Organizer

This DIY upcycled storage box organizer is perfect for taking your craft supplies on the go! Created using empty cardboard pantry boxes, scrapbooking papers and washi tape, each of the individual organizing trays fit neatly inside a box that you can close for easy transport. This is simply perfect for those DIY nights with friends!
The first step is to choose your boxes! Begin with a large box with a lid that closes. Then find thin paper cardboard pantry boxes in your recycle bin that can be arranged Tetris-style to fit inside your larger box.

Cut the pantry boxes down so that they fit inside your larger lidded box.
Then, using a ruler, pencil and utility knife, cut strips of scrapbook paper to match the sizes of the boxes you've chosen to use. Tape your scrapbook papers to the boxes using clear or double sided tape as desired. Then apply strips of washi tape to the corners to add a decorative touch.

Once you've decorated the corners of your boxes with washi tape, apply clear packing tape over the washi taped corners to keep them in place and for extra stability.
Now place all of the upcycled organizing boxes you just made inside the larger box with the lid.

I love how these organizer boxes are the perfect size for arts and crafts supplies like washi tape!
Now simply polish off the larger box that holds the smaller containers by adding scrapbooking papers to the outside. Alternately, you could also paint it. Once you've decorated your larger box, it's travel worthy and ready to go!

Very pretty, I like the colors you chose. I sometimes put a layer of quilt batting on the top before I affix the fabric.
