After completing a large (and expensive) bookcase project, we needed some custom storage crates to store less attractive items (I'm looking at you cd's!) Custom baskets or crates came in way over budget, so we took matters into our own hands, and turned some old dirty pallets into functional wooden crates.
Completed crate!
Curbside pallets were salvaged, and brought home for a little tlc.
The pallets were broken apart, to separate the usable lumber. Then they were built into crates. To view more on how we built the crates, visit the blog (link below)
Five completed crates!
Crates installed into the bookcase.
