In Search of the Perfect Florida Chair and Planter

What beauty Florida offers! Reds, sky blues, ocean blues, pinks, greens! Wow, that is one of the best reasons to see Florida. I have been in search of the perfect Florida chair for our Lanai and I do think I found it!
I have been in search of a chair for our patio. I found the perfect chair once again at a local thrift market.
There it was! Right color, right fabric, and right medium!
It is all in the details. Start with a great base and then build from there! The wood base of the chair was painted with a peacock teal color. A chalk paint in a lighter teal color was used to paint the seat of the chair, and then a scene was painted on the back of the chair. I have recently been smitten with flamingos. A score of two flamingos was the inspiration for the painting on the back of the chair.
I just love the pinks and the beautiful colors of Florida and when it all comes together it makes me very happy!
The chair was placed on the patio quite near those crazy flamingos!
The painting is a figment of my imagination. I can just imagine sitting on the white sandy beach in front of brightly colored row houses, then suddenly across the bay, two pink flamingos are spied walking serenely along the white sands! What beauty and what color! Makes my heart sing....Come visit me anytime!
A straw hat was added for that leisurely look!
