DIY Hanging Herb Garden

I think growing your own herbs is so crucial if you use herbs in cooking (which you should! They add so much to a dish). Having to purchase herbs every time you need them is so unnecessarily expensive when you can just grow them yourself. When I decided to make my own herb garden, I wanted it to be really cute but practical.
I picked up the wooden hanging holders from Bayou Botany Garden: You can find them online or go to my original post for their website! Then, I bought a few herb plants from Home Depot (Basil, Cherry Tomatoes, Strawberries, Parsley, and Mint) and some Organic Potting Soil. Next, I purchased some 4.25″ Clay Pots, which are so affordable (Amazon sells five of them for $6.99!).
I painted the tops of the pots with different pastel colors.
Once they dried, I used a pencil eraser to apply white polka dots to the tops.
Then I sealed them with clear protective spray. Once they dried I filled the pots with soil, planted the herbs, and hung them!
What do you think? This has always been one of my favorite projects. How do you grow your herbs?
Enjoyed the project?

Have a question about this project?
Do think this project would work in a window? I have an oversized window, and think the plants would get light and a container can be placed on the sill to catch excess water. What do you think? Want to try this! Thanks!
I like the wood where you hang the pots, where did you buy those? Or did you DIY? Demo us pls. Thanks i like the idea.
