My husband bought me a pretty three tiered fountain for my birthday one year. I loved it. We placed it on our deck, which was really the only good place to put it. But, it was causing a ton of water damage on our sliding glass door from the splashing and it was so hard to constantly clean it. So, we decided to turn it into a planter instead since we were getting all new windows and sliding doors, and painting our house, and didn't want the fountain to damage the glass to those.. And, since it was outside on a hot deck, succulents were the right choice!
