I wasn’t kidding when I said I was busy working on rock projects! These DIY Painted Alphabet Rocks are so easy to make, that both kids and adults can work on this project. Rock painting is a huge trend and for good reason… it’s inexpensive!

Start by gathering 26 rocks.

Use craft paint to paint them solid colors. It took a couple coats to get a nice look.

When the rocks were completely dry, I started painting the alphabet… one letter per rock.

When the painted letters are dry, you can spray with a sealer or use Mod Podge to seal the paint.

Let the sealer is dry, then these DIY Painted Alphabet Rocks are ready to be played with. These are perfect to add to a sensory bin, sand box or leaning toys.

You can paint upper-case letters on one side and lower-case letters on the other. Or you can paint lower-case letters on separate rocks and make a fun matching game. The possibilities of what you can do with these are endless.

I gave these rocks to the neighbors who have smaller children and they've been playing with them every time they go outside... that sounds like a win to me! icon
