Exterior stone

I want to put stone on the exterior of the home we just moved into but have found it to be extremely expensive. Does anyone have any sugfestoons for less expensive alternatives that will hold up to the elements and stay securely to a vertical surface? This home needs some much needed pizazz added for better curb appeal. Thanks for ideas.

Most fax stone is made out of concrete so it will weather well. -

It isn't heavy ,it comes in small sections and can be installed with adhesives or cement( more difficult). I used my indoors and had a friend apply. You will need a diamond saw blade to cut or a grinder with a cement blade. they are other options. Check you tube or google.
