I planted mine about five inches in front of my hostas and the leaves are still up and green when the hostas are large enough to cover them, but they are long done blooming before that. I just make sure they are far enough away to allow for spreading of the plants, so that you don't have to take them up each year to replant because they are too close.Helpful Reply -
