I want to start a rose garden this spring. What advise can you give?

Prepare your soil well - lots of organic matter. Add a little bone meal to the holes where you plant the rose bushes.Helpful Reply -

jackson and Perkins at one time had a catalog...may be on line. My folks had ther better luck with them, the plants came mail order and in great condition. There are planting guides for roses, but basically you make a nice big hole deep as the soil it’s packed in. Put a cone of soil in the middle of the hole and arrange the root system arround it, then fill hole and water.Helpful Reply -
