I USED CANADIAN GRASS SEED, BUT BE WARNED, IT GROWS TWICE AS FAST AS STANDARD GRASS. BUT IT DOES TOLERATE DROUGHT, FLOODING AND HARSH WINTERS. -

Sometimes all it takes is de-thatching-getting the old growth out. Another simple to do thing is aerate your lawn so it can breathe. After that mix Epsom salts with water to give your lawn a healthy drink of minerals, micro and mini. And remember, don't cut it too short or after a rain. After a rain it tends to pull the grass and doesn't cut cleanly. Always make sure your blades are sharp and clean. -
