What plants or scrubs can I plant near my above ground pool to deter bugs & mosquitos?

Marigolds, citronella grass, geraniums, lemongrass, and even lavender all deter bugs. -

plant all the way around with citronella.......place a bug zapper away from the pool (you don't want to attract bugs where you are)......at night light citronella tiki torches near the pool.....works for my pool
