What plants can I grow in Phoenix that won't be burned?

live in Phoenix, back of house faces south. Besides cactus, what can I have that won't be burned..for both sides of the house. In pots that can be moved.

I have really good luck with portulacaria/elephant food. I always cover it if it goes below freezing. Euphorbia fire sticks, blue elf aloe. Summer only for color portulaca is great. Aptenia does well as long as it gets some shade during the day. Most succulents can't take the summer sun here. I also have never had luck with lantana in containers even though I have tried many times.Helpful Reply -
