I have good luck with barrel cactus, agave americana, euphorbia fire sticks, portulacaria, and blue elf aloe. I do lots of pots with color in the winter but about the only thing with lots of color that can take the heat is portulaca.Helpful Reply -

put out nice statues, colorful pots and liberal use of walkway tiles. Just forget trying to grow anything .Helpful Reply -

Look into xeriscaping and see if anything catches your eye. Here are a couple links to get you started.http://www.hgtv.com/design/outdoor-design/landscaping-and-hardscaping/design/xeriscape-design-ideashttps://www.pinterest.com/pin/210613720047990254/Helpful Reply -

Look for plants that are native to your area and plant a mixture of them. Add some walking paths with destination areas and some yard art and furniture with cushions for an extra pop of color. Before you go shopping make a plan how you want it to look when you are finished the slowly put your yard together. Happy gardeningHelpful Reply -
