I bought 2 candle holders at thrift stores - both are fall pumpkin shaped. I turned one into a solar holder and the other incorporates a repurposed bottle and lights...
I found both of these pumpkin candle holders at a thrift stores for a reasonable price! Gotta love that.
I'll start with the solar pumpkin... I bought a solar light from Big Lots that matched the brass decor of the pumpkin.
I pulled the light off the stem.
I had a glass vase that fit into the pumpkin, but you could find one of these at Dollar Tree.
I set the solar light on top of the vase.
I put the vase and solar light inside the pumpkin and I was done!
You could definitely leave this up all fall. I will probably leave mine up all year.
Onto the second candle holder repurposed a different way...
I took an empty bottle and cleaned off the label.
I stuffed a strand of 20 lights I got from Dollar Tree into the bottle.
I set the bottle into the pumpkin candle holder where the candle would go and created a stem.
Plugged in the lights and that was it.
Again, a great decoration for out on your porch all fall, and I'll leave mine up all year!
