Does placing beer in a lid or plastic cont near flowers keep slug away

Yes they will go into the beer, and drown! But, be careful that you have no pets around to drink the beer. My dog got into it and not only drank the beer but ate the slugs as well and puked for days!Helpful Reply -

Beer will work. Copper will also kill them.......for example copper wire wrapped around the pots they grow in.Helpful Reply -

It does help, but you will find that skunks and racoons also enjoy a nip or two. Plus, if it rains, the beer gets diluted. Slug Bait (available where all of the other pest control products are sold) works bestHelpful Reply -
