They hate the smell of anything spicy. You can use cayenne pepper or Tabasco in a cotton ball or rag and place it in front of their hole.Helpful Reply -

I lived at a place that had moles and gofers. The land lord would not even try to get rid of them so I took cotton balls, 2 small cups, one with bleach and one with ammonia. BE VERY CAREFUL TO NOT BTEATH AND FUMES THEY MAKE A POISON GAS WHEN MIXED. In a small cup soak some of the cotton balls with the bleach and in another small cup soak some of the cotton balls in the ammonia.Find the tunnel openings woking quickly drop one or 2 cotton bllas from each cup down the tunnel as far as you can and cover up the tunnel opening with dirt do this at each tunnel opening and soon you won't have to worry about gofers under the yard. The just die. The bleach and ammonia make a POISON gas when mixed.Helpful Reply -

I tried all the bait and application stuff. I called a professional because they are licensed to use the "good" stuff that only gets rid of the gophers and doesn't pose harm to other creatures....I watched entire bushes being pulled under ground. Good luck, they are clever.Helpful Reply -

If you or if you know anyone who has snakes, keep the skin when they shed and place a good long piece in each in hole. They won't be back. Tried and true!Helpful Reply -
