How to control the mosquitos when you have a pool in the backyard?

It has to be a kid and dog friendly solution. I'm not opposed to using a company either.

    You can try using the mosquito repel system from Thermocell.

    Use a service and see what they use and how often. Later you can take this treatment over yourself if you want.

    There are some pot friendly plants as well, like citronella and lemongrass that may help. Depending on the size of your pool you would probably need several larger plants.

    MOSQUITO YARD SPRAY Big bottle Blue cheap mouthwash 3 cups of Epsom salt, 3 stale 12 oz cheap beer mix ... Make Your Own Natural Mosquito Repellent. Makes a lot and works for us when we spray all around on bushes and chairs and can use on our bodies if needed. We make it every spring to use all summer. Works well and non-poisonous.

    If the water in the pool is circulating, the pool is not the problem. Look for other areas where water pools or stands and use drainage to get rid of it. Even unused pots will store plenty of water for mosquitoes to breed. Check for anything that may be causing the water to stand.
