How do I get rid of squirrels?

I am a renter but the owner does not seem to care of the squirrels in the attic. She says she will look into it and cant find anyone reliable. Don't know what that means.I keep stuff up in the attic and they seem to start chewing on stuff. what to do? just checking on different ideas i have tried pelets and spray keeps them away for like 2 to 3 days that's it they are back.any suggestions would help

You need to find the hole they are coming in. Cover it so they can't get in. make sure they are out when you do this or they will be trapped in and die.
Hi Janet. Sorry the squirrels have moved in. Here are some humane ways to get rid of them and as soon as you do plug the opening they are using to get in and out. Get a case of spray foam, stand back and point. Get plastic tubing for the hard to reach places. Get a case of moth balls and scatter everywhere they hate them.
I got a harmless trap and used peanut butter as bait It worked.
The other solution is to use black snakes but my wife wasn't enthused about that although it also worked.
