You could spray them with watered down vinegar. OR Mix one tablespoon Borax with one cup of sugar and a half-cup of water. Pour this mixture into a small bowl and place near ants. Keep this away from kids and pets.

Get some EcoSmart or Victor's natural ant spray, kills em dead on contact and you can rub the residue on the counters, door thresholds to repel them.

Ants are looking for things to eat so if every food stuff are well wrapped covered all crumbs cleaned they will go and they always have a scout so always clean

Cornmeal kills the ants. Put it where you see a trail. They take it back to the nest and it kills the queen and eventually the colony. If you could find the place of their nest it would be the best, but for sugar ants that is very difficult so put it where you see a trail of ants. We use Jiffy because it is sweet and they grab it up fast. Keep putting a string of cornbread out until you no longer see ants anymore. You may have a large colony so don't get discouraged. As long as they haul off the cornmeal keep putting a few sprinkles along their trail. It kills any ant that is a problem, by the way. It is safe for kids, pets, and the environment.
