Salton Sea, CA? Patio fans work wonders, any flying pests do not like the breeze and stay away. Keep the yard tidy.
I use the tags they put on cows. They have to move a little, so I hung a few from my wind chimes around my porch. And then got the fly traps that you fill with water and the stuff they come with, for farther out in the yard and around my corral. We live in Yuma AZ and have horses. These have really cut down the fly problem.
Not sure if these will work, but I just watched this video about fly traps and they seem to work really well! https://www.facebook.com/GYMRshop/videos/323254061945276/

go to walmart in garden dept. buy a fly bag and follow instructions they work great but stink
Actually that brings more flies
Not sure where 'salt in sea" is? However, is this only your issue or do your neighbors also suffer? I recommend a bug zapper. Also, remove all things that are bringing flies and their lavae to your home. Dog food out? Food crumbs? Something dead? I would look at screening in a porch, also.
You could try a bait trap outdoors. If you're unable to manage any nearby breeding grounds for flies, getting rid of flies long-term will be pretty difficult though.
