What is a good rat poison

I would not put our poison if you have dogs or cats... if they eat a rat that has been poisoned... they will die too.

I have heard that feeding rats and mice and gophers... bubble gum... that it plugs them up and they die...and it won't hurt your pets.

How about no kill traps? Poison is dangerous around pets, other wildlife and kids. I have a couple no kill traps and I just release them far enough away that they will not return.
