Small Water Gardens

A pond or water garden doesn't have to be large to be enjoyable or beautiful. Small ponds provide the sight and sound of water in the landscape and will attract birds, butterflies, dragonflies, and more!
Add a small waterfall to your small pond to keep it properly filtered and aerated (which means less maintenance).
This 4'x6' pond was installed using a DIY kit. It sits right next to the patio providing a great view.
The pond often takes center stage in the yard. And look ... no grass to mow!
An unused corner of the backyard becomes an oasis and is no longer wasted space.
This small pond and waterfall is tucked beside a patio situated under a deck. A great solution for a spot that was once an eyesore.
This waterfall has a very shallow pond (just a couple inches deep) for the kids to play in.
Create a unique deck setting by tucking a pond into the middle of it.
This small pond reflects its Asian influence. Japanese gardens are typically void of color other than the green of surrounding foliage and the grays and browns of smooth stone.

One can take advantage of the hardscape and utilize the possibilities out there to make it one of the most beautiful outdoor spaces you have ever seen. A wall art, lighting and waterfall features work wonders for your outdoor design.

@Aquascape Inc. - in Clip #18, what type of water plant is that, in the water, by the water lily plant, and in front of the rounded rock, with the arrow type leave shape? I am looking for something like this shape for my very small ponds! Your photos are so lovely...wish mine could grow up one day to looks half as good...but we're on such a tight budget. Thanks!!
