What can we do about our cracking Cement patio?

our cement patio is cracking and becoming very ugly. It is only 8 years old. Can anything be done?

The weather and the type of concrete can change how a patio will age. You should research painting/sealing the patio. There are some really good products/kits at Lowe's and Home Depot to help with this.

Even in an extreme climate, 8 years is not old for a cement patio. Chances are it was not poured properly. Now the best you can do is fill the cracks. Here are some options for you!

First, clean it really well. Then use a masonry crack filler (just like you'd repair cracks in drywall), let dry, then smooth with sandpaper and paint with a good patio paint.

if the cracks are deep, there is a caulk for cement that will fill the crack. It’s very runny. Do after sealing the concrete.

Hi Enolac, You can fill wide cracks with concrete crack filler in a caulk tube. Then you can resurface the slab.
