Our deck is rotting, and I want to start replacing boards, but how do I know if it is still good underneath? Is there a way to tell?

When you call a company out to give you an estimate they will look at your joists. If they say yours need to be replaced have them show you why they say that (assuming they can show you rotting wood or some other cause)Helpful Reply -

Hello, the only way to tell is to either go underneath and look or remove the boards and check. Good luck!Helpful Reply -
