- The deck was properly prepped, cleane with the proper cleaner and the deck over just will not stay on the wood. What do I do now?

We were also taken in so to speak about Behr paint for our deck, I painted it on my deck I got the (blue) it looked great, did all treatment as said. we had a veritable mess. it started peeling I pulled off strips some of them 20 " long, took back to Home Depot where we purchased. they got in touch with Behr, they sent us 2 more gallon, ( which was hardly enough) painted it again , did the same thing. we had to end up replacing our whole deck which measures about 45 ft by 40 ft. we were sick, the cost of 2 by 6"s are not cheap . so I sympathize with you. . I do not think there is fix for this. I hope you find one. SandraHelpful Reply -

You know Behr is a good paint if you're intending to use it on walls, but I have found for outside decks and fences it just isn't that great. You are going to have to get a power washer and really clean it well. Then you will need to reprep it and stain or repaint it with a better quality product like Olympic. They make a stain and sealer in one that I found works well. If you go the paint route instead of stain they also make a solid stain that looks more like paint . Their Rescue It Max resurface, primer and sealant all in one is a very good product. Good luck.Helpful Reply -

You may have to just paint over, if stain will not stay on.Helpful Reply -

I put it on a fence and the same thing happened. The fence was made with green treated lumber that was 30 yrs. old.Helpful Reply -

Yes it is non slip when wet, and you can use on treated lumber, Ask your Benjamin Moore Dealer what to do being it is already painted and treated, Benjamin Moore is the best paid to use on anything, the BESTHelpful Reply -
